Dalit Mini Tote – A Bag Full of Memories and Meaning
The Dalit Mini Tote is more than just a bag — it’s a story carried in your hands. The word “Dalit” comes from the Dusun language, meaning durian. This bag is inspired by my childhood memories of durian season in Sabah. Growing up, durian season was not only about the fruit itself but the moments shared with family. My sisters and I would compete to see who could collect the most durians around our home. With my little pail in hand, I’d run across the yard, filling it one by one — each durian a small victory I could proudly claim.
That same sense of playfulness, resourcefulness, and joy is stitched into the Dalit Mini Tote. Made from durable fabric and finished with Sabahan-inspired motifs, it combines tradition, comfort, and modern practicality. The tote features a magnetic fastener, two open pockets, one zippered compartment, and an adjustable strap (70–138 cm) for versatile use. Compact yet roomy (31×21×11 cm), it fits your essentials with ease.
Each tote carries the essence of home and supports sustainable craftsmanship by local artisans. Priced at RM130, it’s a heartfelt piece that blends function, culture, and story — a reminder of the simple joys that shape who we are.
